In a recent effort to enhance promotion of the country and its businesses, the Luxembourg Government has initiated the establishment of several bodies ultimately aiming at marketing local companies and their products abroad as well as attracting foreign businesses to Luxembourg. Among these agencies, “Luxembourg for Business” (LfB) might have the most generic scope, as it is not (only) focusing on the promotion of a specific economic sector.
Nvision was appointed to design the agency’s first web site, presenting its purpose and goals, structure, events, partners and upcoming projects. And there is more to come: at the next stage the web site will contain a set of tools and various information relevant to companies that want to expand their activities to foreign markets.
The web site has been developed using the Drupal Content Management System (CMS), which is currently the open source CMS that receives the most substantial endorsement by the global web development community.
The LfB web site is also a neat example of how to implement an uncommon layout with a CMS, proving that the usage of these systems (and more specifically Drupal) not necessarily leads to a box-oriented design approach. Using Drupal’s powerful template system and - of course – after our web developers had risen to the challenge, we managed to implement a site that is using a different approach to portray the Luxembourg for Business organisation and its activities.
