The Luxembourg FirstTuesday chapter has announced its September ’09 conference covering the topic of web site continuity: 'Present Online - and now?' Besides other speakers, Régis Kuckaertz of Nvision will elaborate on the subject. The title of his presentation will be ‘How usability improves the quality of websites’, and here is the abstract:
How usability improves the quality of websites In a crowded marketplace, quality becomes a determinant factor in how people choose products. And quality is assessed across the whole spectrum of customer experience: from the product itself to the words put in advertising campaigns. Your website is no exception; be it as a marketing collateral or an ecommerce platform, people will judge it to answer that simple question: should I stick or should I quit? In this keynote, we'll see through several scenarios how usability can improve the quality of a website and help achieve business goals more effectively. In addition, we'll see how usability can be put into practice on an existing website.
The event will take place on September 1 at location still to be announced. Additional info is available at the FirstTuesday Luxembourg web site.
