We love sharing. Yet things are moving so fast on the Web that it’s hard to follow up on everything without overcrowding your initiative with just too much. Soon enough, we noticed our ‘week in links’ series would canibalize our blog and distract you from other posts we’re working hard to make valuable. This got us reflecting on the value of sharing and how much was enough—i.e. how much are you willing to take? It turns out this series has kept your attention more than any other entry on the blog.
Sharing is essential, almost vital for some of us. Consider Digg, Friendfeed, FFFFound, and the likes; these sites attract thousands of people everyday. As a sharer, what you’re sharing helps shape your identity in the social environment that is the Web; as a visitor, you’re getting value out of extremely focused recommended readings. And that’s what Nvision is aiming for, sifting through hundreds of stories each week, selecting only the most interesting ones in the field of web design & development.
As our stats show, the ‘week in links’ has attracted quite a lot of attention, so we’ll keep on posting them, but only at slower pace… the time we find a better means to share links. As usual, your opinion or any suggestion is greatly appreciated. Enjoy.
